On 13 September, Henkel’s brand, Pritt, will be helping children celebrate the much-anticipated Roald Dahl Day – the birthday of the world's number one storyteller and author of many popular children story books.
As a celebration of Pritt’s 50th birthday, limited edition Pritt celebration packs are being distributed to schools with the Roald Dahl Day Party Pack. 30,000 hard copies are delivered to UK primary schools in collaboration with YPO, one of Henkel’s key strategic partners within the Education sector. The pack is also available for free download on the Roald Dahl website.
This year’s focus is Matilda, the story book that achieved great popularity. It is about a five-year-old girl of unusual precocity who deals with difficult adults in her life. A 30-second animated guide, featuring Pritt Stick, has been developed to show children how to make a Newt to scare Miss Trunchbull, a “fierce tyrannical monster who frightened the life out of pupils and teachers alike.”
The celebration pack gives teachers a clear guide on planning celebrations for Roald Dahl day and provides children with 20 pages full of fun and knowledge. Children can craft their personalised party hats, book marks and invitation cards from templates in the Party Pack.
The pack also gives children the chance to get creative and channel their inner writer by writing their own stories. They can test their imagination and guess the characters by reading quotes taken from the story Matilda.
Children also have a variety of word and mind puzzles and mazes to solve. All these fun activities are combined with lighting up their charity spirit as children are given a chance to give back and donate to the Roald Dahl Nurses initiative, which supports ill children and their families.
Celebrations can be planned either in collaboration with schools or privately using the free Party Pack which gives a clear and detailed guidance on planning the day. The fun Party Pack is available for download here.
