Schwarzkopf Professional has announced its new, talented 2019/20 Young Artistic Team. The yearlong scheme offers money-can’t-buy experiences with some of the best ambassadors in the business.
The six-strong team has been picked from hundreds of talented hairdressers under 25 and will benefit from a year of top-quality training, an insight into the world of social media as well as gaining experience as a session stylist at London Fashion Week. The year will finish with a photo shoot where the team creates their very own collection.
The judging day took place at Easton Regal Hairdressing in London where lots of young, talented hairdressers worked hard to impress the judges with their skill, technique and creativity. The judging panel included John Spanton, the Creative Colour Director of hairdressing group Trevor Sorbie; Hairdressers Journal Editor Laura Husband; and industry star and session stylist Peter Burkill. These six, super skilful hairdressers dazzled the judges with their detailed presenting skills, enthusiasm and creative flair.
They kick started their year as a team together with a three-day team building workshop held at Billi Currie, one of London’s leading salons, where the programme included presentation skills training from Debbie G, an industry-leading talent; and an introduction to social media by Sarah Giblin of Schwarzkopf Professional
The response from the Young Artistic Team was enthusiastic. Mitchell Gough from Hensmans Salons said that the presentation training gave him “an insight into presenting to the media and on stage. It was brilliant and so eye opening,” and Molly Drummond from Hooker and Young was impressed by the social media aspect, which “gave us a better view of the way that the hairdressing industry is going and how current we have to be to keep up with the trend in the market that is social media.”
