HaptiQ Technology System: Better Hair ‘For Every You’
The Schwarzkopf HaptiQ system is an innovative technology that allows consumers to repair their hair at home, bringing the SK salon quality to the home, so that bond maintenance can be part of everyone’s regular hair routine. This technology showcases Henkel’s innovations both in the UK and beyond, as Schwarzkopf’s game-changing formulas can lead to visible results in days. The HaptiQ bonding technology is part of a range of Schwarzkopf products from SK Styling to Oleo Intense hair dyes.
An Innovation Comes to Life
The technology was developed in Schwarzkopf labs, involving more than 50 hair experts, as well as more than 20 global patents for unique technologies. Testing was done on more than 10,000 models in Schwarzkopf’s test salons: ensuring the robustness of the HaptiQ system as well as it’s adaptability to different hair.
The HaptiQ system is based on molecular science, which caters to different hair needs. It both repairs and strengthens, utilising a combination of both outer and inner hair repair. A way in which it does this is by creating new micro-bonds inside the hair. For colouration products, the anti-breakage technology creates a protective layer on hair after colouration to minimise damage.
The system is highly adaptable to the mode of application, formula, and purpose. It can protect, create micro-bonds within hair fibres, regenerate hair, and strengthen from within. It is an example of the breadth of Henkel’s innovations in the UK and Ireland haircare market!
HaptiQ System in Hair Colouration Aftercare
Hair fibrils are glued together in a structure called the hair matrix; a hair structure made from micro-bonds. Hair colouration or hair brushing can break the micro-bonds in the hair matrix, causing it to go soft. This can make the hair matrix more unstable. The HaptiQ system assists in restoring the hair matrix’s strength, creating new micro-bonds that can help bond hair fibrils together and coat the hair with protection. This can stabilise, restore, and strengthen hair resulting in 90% less hair breakage. It also contributes to more effective, vivid colours that last longer.
The HaptiQ system present in Schwarzkopf’s range of Oleo Intense permanent hair dyes ensures a gentle and caring colouring process to consumers in the UK and Ireland. One of the most important elements of hair dyeing at home is aftercare. It’s integral that a product includes a conditioner to repair hair damage once colouration is complete. This enhances efficiency and lowers costs for UK and Ireland consumers who don’t have to continually visit the hair salon after colouration to repair their hair.
HaptiQ System in Hair Care
In products such as SK Styling Power Hairspray, the HaptiQ technology repairs and strengthens hair by creating micro-bonds. Creating micro-bonds allows for the hair structure to be tightened, which can increase elasticity of the hair fibre whilst making it more resilient.
When it comes to hair care, the HaptiQ system can contribute to a 93% reduction in hair breakage, 90% less split ends in comparison to hair that hasn’t been treated, more silky-smooth hair, and regenerated hair with results that can both be felt and seen by consumers!
