Another step for “Shaping Futures” in Mexico
In 2015, Schwarzkopf Professional’s global charity initiative Shaping Futures was implemented in Mexico – after the successful completion of the first generation of graduates from the one-year program, the program will be extended.
In close cooperation with SOS Children’s Villages and the Black Academy School in Mexico City, the initiative equipped three students with fundamental hairdressing skills to help them shape an independent future for themselves. “At Henkel we are convinced that education is the foundation for building a better society,” said Oscar Medel, National Education Manager Professional Beauty Care Mexico. “I am very proud of what we are achieving.” And Schwarzkopf Professional expands the scope of the program with a second generation, this time with 8 participants in the state of Puebla.
Schwarzkopf Professional’s global charity initiative Shaping Futures was founded five years ago. Since then, the initiative has impacted the future of 1,200 disadvantaged young people in 25 different countries, including India, Morocco, Colombia, the Philippines, South Africa and Cambodia. “We are proud that we have provided hope and new opportunities for people in need,” said Stefan Sudhoff, responsible for the global Professional business of Henkel Beauty Care.
