Henkel’s Dragon Plant honored for its innovative practices
Henkel was honored by the initiative “Innovation & Development: Multinational Companies in Shanghai” with an award for its Dragon Plant being amongst one of the “Top 12 Innovative Practice Cases”.
“Innovation and Development: Multinational Companies in Shanghai” is a campaign that looks into companies that have a strong innovative presence in Shanghai and help transform the city into a global innovation center. For this year’s campaign a total of 40 companies were selected through an online voting. With more than 5.72 million votes 81 initiatives from multinational companies won in the category of the “Best Innovative Practice Cases”.
In 2013, Henkel celebrated the opening the Dragon Plant, the world’s largest adhesives factory, in Shanghai. The facility is now the central production site for industrial adhesives in China and the Asia-Pacific region, serving customers from the automotive industry and various consumer goods sectors. As a model in sustainability and efficiency the Dragon Plant is rich in technological innovation, resource conservation and safety as well as environment-friendly resources.
