Three in one go
In Germany’s “Best Brands” ranking, Henkel succeeded in breaking into the Top 10 in three categories: “Best Corporate Brand,” “Best Product Brand” and “Best Growth Brand.”
The winners are chosen not by a panel of judges but by consumers themselves, a stand-out feature of these awards. The brand rankings are then drawn up on the basis of a complex representative study carried out by the GfK consumer research institute. Two criteria play a key role in the analysis: the actual economic success of the brand and the perceived popularity of the brand among consumers. This year, Persil was named one of the ten best product brands, while Somat made the Top 10 in the growth brands category.
Since 2004, the awards have been conferred annually in the categories “Best Corporate Brand,” “Best Product Brand” and “Best Growth Brand.” Introduced in 2012, the “Best International Corporate Brand Awards” are staged every two years, and in 2014, Henkel was chosen among the Top 10 in this category as well.
