Consumers in Australia have again shown their support and confidence in Schwarzkopf by voting for Extra Care Ultimate Oil Elixir Serum as the best hair care product for 2014. This is the second year in a row that Schwarzkopf has won in the Hair Care category.
“Product of the Year” is the world’s largest consumer-voted award for product innovation. In Australia, the Product of the Year seal is backed by the votes of over 16,000 consumers, and acts as a valuable guide for customers encouraging awareness, trial and increased sales. The awards were announced at a ceremony in Sydney on Thursday 13th February 2014.
Jodie Lynch, Marketing Manager for Henkel Beauty Care Australia said the team was excited to receive the award for the second year in a row in what is an extremely competitive category. Australian women have wholly embraced this product with 75% of those surveyed agreeing that it makes their hair feel healthier and stronger. “To win this award again in 2014 is a great vote of confidence from our customers and the feedback we continue to receive about the product (Extra Care Ultimate Oil Elixir Serum) is very positive,” Ms Lynch said.
Entrants were judged and vetted by a jury of industry and media experts including Lisa Wilkinson, Channel Nine’s TODAY Show co-host, Claire Bradley, Editor Inside Out magazine and Lorna Gloria, editor of Retail World.
Last year, Schwarzkopf was the first hair care cosmetic brand ever to win awards in three different categories at the Product of the Year Awards in 2013, namely Best in Hair Care, Hair Colour and Hair Styling.
