  • Key Account Management of specific convenience and wholesale customers
  • Implement the specific elements of the annual business plan.
  • Develop and implement national sales strategies for all core business categories and brands.
  • Recruit, train, develop, manage and motivate the sales team of Territory Managers and Key Account Managers
  • Appraise staff and train to meet the required performance objectives and defined competency levels.
  • Work with internal colleagues in Brand and Category Marketing to develop market leading channel growth plans.
  • Support, motivate and challenge the sales team to exceed all sales and profit targets, and implement activities as agreed in the annual business plan.
  • Manage expense cost centres within budget
  • Identify and action new business development activities by implementing strategic plans for growth areas.


  • Previous experience in FMCG sales and managing a sales team

  • Degree educated or equivalent

  • Broad understanding of the business sector and commercial knowledge.

  • Demonstrable experience of driving top line growth and achieving sales targets

  • Strong account management and relationship building skills

  • High levels of numeracy and IT skills

  • A dynamic approach, highly self-motivated and bringing energy and passion into a team

  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
