Technical Sales Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join as a Technical Sales Specialist reporting into the Country Sales Manager UK & Ireland, Packaging and Labelling. You will be responsible for all sales activities related to customers within the South of England.

YOUR ROLE

·Drive growth of profitable sales within the Consumer Goods Adhesive market in the UK through a       combination of new business acquisition and growth at existing accounts within the territory in the packaging and labelling industry

·Support and work closely with both local and regional management

·Execute European business strategy within the territory at Strategic Key Accounts, Distributors and Local Accounts

·Deliver key strategic initiatives as these apply to the global business and ensure optimum level of prospect and existing customer development is achieved.

·Be visible across the European organization in order to explore further step-up through an international Key Account Management role or similar as a next career step

·Deliver value added concepts and solutions to the territory customer base, in close collaboration with local and regional Technical Customer Service (TCS) by a process of regular customer visits and reporting to demonstrate ongoing value addition of Henkel programmes at our customers and within the industry

·Establish and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities utilising designated Henkel tools.

·Ensure that the systems are kept up to date and all relevant information is captured in a timely manner

·Collaborate with key stakeholders within the packaging & labeling industry such like machine manufacturers (OEMs) and material manufacturers (OMMs)

YOUR SKILLS

  • University level education, Higher degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent through Experience
  • Sales experience gained preferably from Consumer Packaging, Paper Converting or Tissue Industries.
  • Technical expertise in adhesives and application technologies
  • Strong negotiation and technical solution-based sales expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Good communication and team working skills, able to work in an international working environment
  • Demonstrated project and leadership skills
  • Additional languages are an asset
  • Must be prepared to travel UK, Europe and perhaps globally if required

The position has the possibility for rapid advancement for the right individual with a move in management position with 2 to 5 years
