Holding a Master’s degree in economics and being a trained business journalist,  Carsten Tilger started his professional career with Hoechst AG in 1997. In 2000 he became Head of Global Media Relations and in 2003 Head of Corporate Communications of Aventis SA, France. Before assuming the position as Head of Corporate Communications of Syngenta AG, Switzerland, in 2006, he headed Corporate Communications at Kabel Deutschland.
